It's All About the Pink

Camargue-Parc-OrnithologiqueOn both the ladies trip and the Cliff Creek Cellars trip next May, we will be walking in the Parc Ornithologique.  Founded in 1949 by Andre Lamouroux, it covers roughly 150 acres of wetlands. Mr. Lamouroux was a naturalist who loved the Camargue and wanted to see protection for its unique wildlife but especially the birds.  His descendents still take care of the park with improvements every year, education, bird counts, rehabilatation and a great deal of hard work and tenacity.

Walking through the park we'll see up close, the famous flamingos, storks, egrets, herons and waterfowl. I really appreciate the work that the family is doing here and am eager to share with you the rhythm of the Camargue in this amazing park.flamingos-in-the-Camargue

TESTIMONIALS
“I can’t recommend this trip highly enough. Lorraine is a great tour leader with inside access that she has developed over the years. You can do things with her that you could never do on your own. Her connections open doors, like the wonderful dinner that we had a in a private home only available to friends and family.”
–Jeffery Anne T., Aptos, California
