The Roman Spring of Vaison
Vaison-La-Romaine is a quintessential Provencal town with a rich Roman legacy. It host the largest archaeological site in France. A beautiful Roman bridge crosses the river Ouveze. Below is the contemporary town and above is the medieval city where the counts of Toulouse built their 12th century castle.
Within this working town, there are fabulous shops, restaurants and views of the Dentelles and Mont Ventoux. Our Cliff Creek wine tour will be staying here for 3 nights and we will be very close to the finest tasting rooms. We will be able to wander the paved alleyways of the walled city, hike to the castle and visit the museum.
